Malachi, also known as The Wright Artist, hailing from the humble village of Dixmoor just outside Chicago, has emerged as a prominent artist on the global stage. In a community where art is often overlooked, Malachi draws inspiration from his creative family, surrounded by a household bursting with imaginative souls. His artistic journey commenced at an early age, collaborating with his brother to recreate captivating images sourced from movies, the internet, and every source of inspiration they could find.
By the time Malachi reached fifth grade, he had already established his own art business, captivating classmates and even teachers with his creations. As he progressed through school, his business flourished, expanding to encompass a more diverse clientele on a global scale by the time he entered middle school. To his astonishment, in eighth grade, the renowned rapper Young Thug approached Malachi seeking permission to use one of his captivating artworks as a single cover.
Entering high school marked a turning point for Malachi's artistic pursuits. He embarked on establishing an online art store, offering a wide array of prints, hoodies, and t-shirts to a growing fan base. During his junior year, fate intervened when his remarkable work caught the attention of none other than Steve Harvey, who invited Malachi to appear on his renowned television show. Traveling to Los Angeles, he had the unforgettable opportunity to meet Steve Harvey and the iconic Martin Lawrence.
It didn't take long for Malachi's talent to capture the attention of yet another influential figure. The legendary Snoop Dogg personally commissioned him to design the album cover for his 2019 project, 'I Wanna Thank Me.' Determined to solidify his presence in the art world, Malachi officially established his LLC that same year, cementing his status as a professional artist.
Upon graduating high school, Malachi's artistic journey led him to the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Throughout his college years, he continued to thrive, selling artwork to esteemed individuals like Chance the Rapper and collaborating with renowned brands such as Lenovo, Essentia, and even ESPN.
